One of my favorite local spots. I love that they open so early. I love how delicious all the food is here. I love the variety they keep! The atmosphere is cute and the service has always been kind and warm. I come here often for sometimes breakfast items and other times a lovely sweet treat. I love the holiday boxes they do throughout the year as well. Just all around such a warm experience coming here and everything I've had has been delicious.

Called yesterday asking if they had focaccia bread but they unfortunately did not. I believe I talked to a nice and helpful girl named Lizzy on the phone but she suggested a fresh french loaf (which they kindly sliced) and an epi baguette to pair with my dips. Delicious and very beautifully baked breads that enhanced a dinner I hosted for my friends last night. Definitely coming back and well worth the price.

I have been going to Ravelin for years and I believe the ownership changed hands recently. Unfortunately the pastries are almost always significantly overdone and chewy now. I waited months before I wrote this review because I assumed they were working out kinks and would eventually figure out how to bake them (I know they can be extremely hard to do and previous owner had a lot of experience.). However they have not rectified the problem over 4+ months at least and it is an issue every time I go in (see photo). Having said that- there are still no better bakery/pastry options that I know of in Denton which is why I still gave them 3 stars. I also received two sourdough loaves a couple weeks ago that didn’t appear to be sourdough at all even though they were sold that way. It was way too dense for sourdough. And we spent $20 on this bread. I emailed the store about it bc I didn’t want to put them on blast with a review but they never got back to me. I will say the sourdough is more consistently good than the croissants these days. We only had an issue that one time. Just disappointing bc I usually spend a lot of money there and I want to keep doing it but the quality is just no

Indulge yourself and others at local bakeries. Something I prioritized when I relocated to Denton. On my first visit, I mistakenly drove the wrong way down a one-way street. It felt like Denton handed crayons to kindergarteners to sketch the road layout. But I digress. To help you find the bakery I’ve attached a photo of the building. They offer a delightful variety of baked goods, including loaves of bread, cookies, muffins, pies, and other treats. Today, I spotted a special Valentine’s Day menu. Perfect for gifts. While there’s some seating available the bakery mainly caters to those looking to grab something delicious and enjoy it elsewhere. The Cinnamon Roll Danish is absolutely delicious. Its exterior is a flaky croissant texture, while the center is filled with a delicious cream cheese flavor. I regret not buying more to share at work. Perhaps next time. This bakery is definitely worth a visit.

Ravelin is my go-to bakery even after moving an hour away! Definitely one of Denton's hidden gems. It's great to stop off in the morning to pick up a breakfast treat, and you can mix & match individual cookies, etc and buy as much or as little as you want. Everyone who works there is very kind and friendly. The main draws for me are their key lime pie and the fact that they're one of very few places that sell their sourdough starter!
